CGQL is pleased to announce another benefit to members - the introduction of discounted guest green fee vouchers. These are sold in booklets of 10 vouchers offering up to a 20% discount on the current guest green fee.

These booklets are only available from the club office and are now on sale . The vouchers will initially be sold for €57.00 each (or €570 for a book of 10 vouchers). Members may only pay for vouchers in cash or using a Portuguese bank cheque.

Guest vouchers should be handed in to the SGQL reception prior to playing. If the voucher is used in high season then a small supplement will have to be made when handing over the voucher. This supplement will be advertised on the CGQL noticeboard.

For a trial period, these vouchers may also be used as discounted Green Fee vouchers by friends and family who are staying in the house of a member and  who wish to play gol in the absence of the introducing member. In this case the member must a) inform the club of the names of their house guests b) arrange for them to come to the club and confirm a booking not more than 72 hours in advance of the tee time. Tee times will be allocated as and where possible, but most likely the first times in the morning and the last times in the afternoon i.e times that are currently used only sparingly. The allocation of times is not guaranteed and is entirely under the control of, and at the discretion of, the CGQL Office Management. This benefit is available only to friends and family staying in the house of a member. It is not available where the house of a member is rented out.

This initiative has been mutually agreed between the Club and SGQL. (and is being run on a trial basis.) At a suitable opportunity, members will have access to the statistics as to how the scheme has been used and will have the opportunity,and certainly no later than the 2009 AGM,  to vote on whether it should continue.

Note on Expiry Dates

If you vouchers that are beyond their expiry date you can trade them for a new book of 10 tickets, discounting at face value the returned tickets.
